Starting out as an alto saxophonist in 6th grade, Mike went on to compose and arrange for the Jazz Band at this High School, who awarded him the Louis Armstrong Outstanding Jazz Musician award at graduation. Starting his Undergraduate studies at Worcester State College with an concentration in Music Education, he went on to complete his Masters Certificate in Keyboard Performance at Berklee College of Music.
Mike is a celebrated multi-instrumentalist and educator, playing piano, guitar (and other fretted instruments), saxophone, harp, cello…the list keeps growing, as does the terrain of musical instruments in his house, car, office…
